In Action

Alexander Wang is the latest designer to partner with Woolmark, the collective of Australian wool growers the promoting the use of wool in clothing, among other things.  The designer, who said he has used merino wool ever since he started designing, has partnered with the company for their global fiber advocacy campaign, initiated 3 years ago when natural fibers started losing ground to man made fabrics.  Famed photographer Annie Leibovitz shot the designer in a moody campaign that kicks of the three-season partnership between Wang and Woolmark.  Says Wang,

“I’ve never really been in an ad campaign—usually I’m behind the scenes,” said Mr. Wang in an interview. “It’s quite surreal to see yourself.” He said he’s pleased with the moody, urban aesthetic of the campaign rather than “me backpacking with the sheep.”

This moment of elegante is brought to you by Clover Canyon, Mugler, and Isabel Marant :)

Our founder, Nevena Borissova, styled a Spring 2013 editorial featuring the hottest graphics of the season against the art-covered walls of Miami’s Wynwood Arts District with photographer Leonardo Corredor. Little did she know then that Wynwood Rising would land in Vogue Brasil along with a feature on her and how she’s built CURVE!  Our friends at Image Amplified were kind enough to feature the shoot on their website, and we couldn’t be prouder of Nevena!  Enjoy some bonus behind-the-scenes pix of the incredible art after the jump!  Big thanks goes to Leonardo, Brandon Fogel from CURVE Soleil, Virginia Le Fay, Karina @ Front Management,  El Chan Guri, Jona Cerwinske, Sancrisabel, Brisky Gallery, Dorst Gallery, and a special muito obrigado to Vogue Brasil!
