DOMINIC JONES

London-based accessory designer Dominic Jones catapulted to fashion infamy when Anna Wintour named his 2009 debut collection one of her favorites.  Four years, 5 NEWGEN awards, and a Elle Style Jewelry Designer of the Year award later, Dominic’s pieces have been seen on Rihanna, Florence Welch, and Beyonce, and his newest collection is now available at Curve!  We’ve been waiting for what seems like forever but it’s finally here!

PROENZA IS BACK!

January 1, 2013

We are super excited to announce that Proenza Schouler has returned to Curve!  The New York boys, who are famous for their innovative and directional pieces (and of course, their IT bags), seem to be moving in more of a streetwear direction with their resort collection, on par with what we see in Tommy Ton’s street style pics as of late. Their boyfriend jeans, slouchy t-shirts, relaxed tweed sets, and leather pieces are still forward: even while being relaxed.  That’s the Proenza touch!

Here’s some of the styles that we have at Curve, so click Read More and give us a call if you see something you need.  Yes, NEED!!

To mark the occasion, we threw a little birthday party with nibbles and champagne to say thank you to San Francisco for allowing us to make women happy one outfit at a time. Right now, denim is the easiest (and most affordable) way to keep up with the trends.  Brands like Citizens of Humanity, Mother, and Genetic are diving into fashion forward styles headfirst with all over prints, metallics, and neons.  Pair your busy bottoms with something simple like a button down, or plain oversized cotton tee and you’re good to go!

The perfect basic has arrived in the form of Pomandere!  The Italian born line has us obsessed with their pre-washed, luxe silk button downs and buttery soft linen trousers. With an earthy color palette of taupes, greys, and splashes of blush, we are loving the button downs with colored denim during the day, or leather leggings at night. Pomandere’s effortlessly chic aesthetic makes it a summer essential that we’re never taking off.

THE BIG BOSS

May 2, 2012

The only thing more inspiring than Peter Marino himself, is his architectural abilities.  Andy Warhol’s townhouse was just the start for this powerhouse.  Since then, Marino has been the man responsible for the aesthetic perfection behind stores like Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, and currently working on CELINE NYC!!! Marino designed the insane Chanel Tower in Ginza, Tokyo, and also the brand’s flagship stores in New York, Osaka, Hong Kong, Paris, and Beverly Hills. Marino started his design firm in 1978 in New York City, and the rest is history.  Because of Marino’s interior and exterior works of art, he’s been consistently mentioned among the top 100 architects in Architectural Digest, and was named most influential person by New York Magazine in 2006.   Staying true to his innovative style of work, the iconic architectural mastermind shows no qualms in his personal style either.  Always clad in leather pants, boots, and muscle hugging tees, Marino ain’t nothin’ to mess with.
