Our founder, Nevena Borissova, styled a Spring 2013 editorial featuring the hottest graphics of the season against the art-covered walls of Miami’s Wynwood Arts District with photographer Leonardo Corredor. Little did she know then that Wynwood Rising would land in Vogue Brasil along with a feature on her and how she’s built CURVE! Our friends at Image Amplified were kind enough to feature the shoot on their website, and we couldn’t be prouder of Nevena! London-based accessory designer Dominic Jones catapulted to fashion infamy when Anna Wintour named his 2009 debut collection one of her favorites. Four years, 5 NEWGEN awards, and a Elle Style Jewelry Designer of the Year award later, Dominic’s pieces have been seen on Rihanna, Florence Welch, and Beyonce, and his newest collection is now available at Curve! We’ve been waiting for what seems like forever but it’s finally here!
Curve Soleil hosted a private charity event and art exhibition by Ludwig Haskins, the son of late iconic photographer Sam Haskins. Haskins was a defining figure of 60s photography and a key player in that decade’s sexual liberation. He influenced leading photographers iall over the world with his beautiful approach to nudity, and his most successful book, Cowboy Kate and Other Stories (1964), is one of the best selling photo books of all time. Adrian Grenier and Peter Glatzer of SHFT hosted the event with Adam Smith of V&M, and the funds raised from sales of Haskins’ prints benefited SHFT’s Mobile Classroom, a new nonprofit organization that provides high school students with the opportunity to learn about food politics, food justice, nutrition and basic healthy cooking skills.
