Carine Roitfeld’s new magazine, a biannual named “CR,” will finally debut this September, according to Women’s Wear Daily! While the name is not a huge surprise (she signed all of her editor’s letters as such during her 10 year stint at French Vogue), the magazine’s format was revealed today after being kept under wraps for months. Here’s the skinny – each issue will be about 200 pages (with an online component), revolve around a centralized theme, and will be a mix of work from established talent and emerging artists including photographers, models, stylists, and writers. Roitfeld has also leaned towards more personal touches, replacing block text headlines of sections within the magazine with her own handwriting. We at Curve are positively OB-SESSED with Roitfeld AND she’s one of Nevena’s all-time favorites so we’re super excited!
Here are some mockup images by photographer Sebastian Faena from CR courtesy of WWD. What do you expect to see in Roitfeld’s inaugural issue?

The month of March is abuzz with all things Gaultier! If you find yourself anywhere in or near San Francisco between now and August, do yourself a favor and attend the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit at the De Young Museum! Gaultier is notorious for putting on the most memorable runway shows of Paris Fashion Week and that creative energy has been encapsulated here for everyone to experience. The exhibit, which features over 140 of Gaultier’s couture, ready to wear, and costume design pieces, features talking mannequins that sing, tell stories about the inspiration behind the pieces that they’re wearing, and more! INSANE! You’ll find that he dressed your favorite musicians and actors on and off screen, and there’s a whole section dedicated to Madonna! Not to mention Gaultier has 35 years of excellence under his (corset) belt, and to see this level of couture craftsmanship up close is really a once-in-a -lifetime experience. It is definitely not to be missed!! More images after the jump….

Our favorite street style photographer of all time, Bill Cunningham of the New York Times, was on hand catching the trends he would share with Gotham and his fans the world over……

Small to mid size bags - from bright to prints, from clutches to satchels, prevailed as the carryall of choice at the shows in Paris…..

These sartorial streetwalkers keep it sleek and simple – all black everything is their uniform…..can’t go wrong…

Button downs were buttoned all the way up in Paris this week – from editors to models, ladies were rocking the spreads and semi spreads with jewelry on the outside for a chic look in cold weather…..

While bright accents were spotted all over the streets of Paris, the models kept their color palettes neutral and monochromatic. Once they finished gracing the runways with Fall’s sophisticated ladylike looks, they emerged from shows in more masculine silhouettes with crewnecks and button up shirts layered with leather moto jackets and collared sweaters, furs, and shearlings. Peep some of your favorites supers between shows below….

Motos were the chic jacket of choice on the streets of Paris….worn casually with jeans, with dresses to add edge, or even as a layering option (insane!). Here’s our Fashion Week street style moto faves**

Here’s the latest model tendency Nevena’s spotted on models off the runway – colored denim:
I don’t know who’s more upset, the Marlboro cowboys all over the world, or the ghost of James Dean…but gone are the days of the good ole’ blue jean. It’s all about colored denim as of late, anything from Mother Denim’s hot pink hue or their butter cup yellow. We’re wearing them with chunky neutral sweaters or a putty peplum blazer for a more refined look. No matter what your style is, incorporating colored denim into your wardrobe is a must…my apologies, John Wayne!
“Ummm….Naomi everyone….@ Place Des Vosges – NB”
“Sexual goth Karlie Kloss at Gaultier tonight…can’t take it with her! – NB”
Angeleno beauty Raquel Allegra has taken the world by storm with her unique creations! She started by taking prison shirts and deconstructing them, hand shredding and dyeing each one, to symbolize the beauty within anything no matter what it starts out as. You’ve no doubt seen Erin Wasson rock the white half shredded cocoon dress, one of the best selling shapes of the collection, and all of the custom pieces she did for Lady Gaga’s “Judas” video. Raquel’s sexy yet wearable, tough & tender aesthetic has gotten her a cult-like following. Everybody needs one!!! I own 20 :)

Hanne Gaby Odiele. Who is she? And why is she such perfection?
No seriously, I researched her.
This chick represents everything we LOVE. Not only has she been the face of #lineswelove like T by Alexander Wang, and 10 Crosby, but home girl embodies everything 90’s (no we’re not over the 90’s). And that face? Its androgeny at its finest, sorry Freja. Walking around Paris fashion week in a Christopher Kane neon lace army jacket, straight up chillin’ in wide leg high waisted trousers with a f*cked up tee that looks like it had one too many nights on Mr. Cobain’s back, or looking like she is just straight up bust out a glow stick for the rave, Hanne is just COOL. (it’s very simple, just get into it).

Nevena’s got a brand new bag – she’s now a trend forecaster for MODELINIA: the first global media brand dedicated to the best of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle through the eyes and experiences of the world’s most popular supermodels! After they fell in love with Nevena’s “On The Road” editorial, Modelinia asked Nevena to lend her sartorial sense of style to the supermodel-centric blog and report on what she sees the runway set wearing the world over each week. First up – Candy Kane! Click the image above to shop some of the season’s best brights from Curve, and stay tuned to see what model tendencies Nevena spies with her little eye*
A huge trend for Spring (and one of my personal favorites) is neon brights! You’ve seen it all over the runways and now every model is interpreting it in her own way. Some opt for the statement pieces in rainbow inspired bright colors from Alexander Wang, or the killer Erickson Beamon neon tribal insanity. Others use neon accents in bags like the Celine Nano, the Christian Louboutin Pigalle pump, or a J-Crew fluorescent pink deep V Tee. The key to the look is pairing them with neutrals and mixing them in a “tri-color block” of black and white. How would I wear it? I choose the leader of the pack: Christopher Kane, whose ‘Moto’ jacket in bright acid yellow I can’t stop wearing! No matter how much (or little) you want to turn up the volume on your look with brights, there’s a way for everyone to wear this trend and look current.

So incredible! Katie Grand and Ruth Hogben’s latest short film for Louis Vuitton via LOVE Magazine not only mirrors the cotton club (and candy colored) theme of Marc Jacobs’ own Spring 2012 collection, but is one of the most charming fashion vids we’ve seen in a long time and a fitting prelude to the Louis Vuitton exhibit opening next month in Paris. Even perfect in its imperfections – you forgive the models for being offcue in some of the choreography because they’re so cute and having so much fun, this powdery, feathery treat puts a smile on your face and a tap in your toes! Speaking of toes, we’d LOVE to slip ours into the button strap open knee high boots…..spy any must haves of your own for Spring?
