As if enough wasn’t happening, more news from Paris – Trussardi 1911, in the midst of celebrating their centennial year in business, is parting ways with creative director Milan Vukmirovic after 4 years.
Heidi Klum will be providing content for the new AOL, and she is in our LA store as we speak filming the fashion segments! Heidi is a great client of ours and we’re so glad she chose Curve to film in :) We had a blast wtih her and her crew as well….look out for her segments (and Curve) on AOL this summer!
Hannah MacGibbon sent looks down the runway that were proper classic Chloé 70s-inspired shapes – palazzo pants paired with slim tops, diaphanous chiffon dresses, and denim in patchwork and snakeskin prints. Her future at the label, however, is rumored to be contingent upon the success of this show and early reports are generally not favorable….

He maintains the house’s trademark ”half-cups” combined with knotted, folded and twisted jerseys and silks. Click the image to shop our selection of French feminine chic*
Last season, Gaultier exalted the full-figured woman. This season, he sent every model down the runway with gray wigs on, paying homage to the older fashionable women whom most actually have the means to buy his wares :) There show was a 60s throwback with kitten heels, tweed suits and cat-eye glasses, but as with almost every show we’ve seen in Paris, more sharply tailored jackets!! And you know we love a sharply tailored jacket more than anything, but we can’t get them all…..whose jackets do you think we should carry? Whose do you think we should skip?

After my Burberry appointment, I met up with designer, teacher, and dear friend Richard Sorger at the Tate for lunch. Richard is immensely talented (we’ve carried his collection for years) and I’m glad to call him my friend….he’s always one of the first people I see when I get off off the plane****
Friday night brought us the Dowager Duchess of Punk Vivienne Westwood’s runway show, and we were so excited because we knew we were in for a visual treat!! We saw Boy George sitting front row at a completely gold glitter covered runway (!!!!!!) as Vivienne sent down ghoulish warriors in her trademark Victorian aesthetic….
