Tomorrow, Gilt City Miami is launching their Insiders program, where local tastemakers curate sales from their favorite places in the city. Internet entrepreneur (and fashionista extraordinaire) Loren Ridinger was tapped to be first, and selected Curve Soleil as one of her favorite places to share with everyone! Loren is the epitome of the Miami jetset – from running the wildly successful Market America with her husband JR Ridinger to hosting parties by Vogue at her fabulous villa with friends like Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Paulina Rubio and more, she knows the best of the best that Miami has to offer! I chatted with Loren about what makes the businesses she picked worth of being “Loren Ridinger” approved:
What led up to your involvement with Gilt?
I am friends with Alexis and Alexandra, the dynamic duo who started Gilt. But serendipitously, Denise from Gilt City Miami reached out and asked me to be an insider. Which I of course was honored and said yes! It’s thrilling for me because I can share the love that JR and I have for the city of Miami with everyone else. I love working with Gilt. They have done amazing things in a short time and I really respect Gilt Insider program as you can count on getting the best of the best, without having to do all the research yourself.
What types of sales will you be curating for Gilt?
Everything from some of my favorite restaurants, salons, spas, boutiques and special experiences…
What are your criteria for a store/restaurant/business to be “Loren Ridinger Approved”?
Well, it has to be as fabulously chic as Gilt and Miami is:) and of course I think that it is important for the establishment or service to be as unique as the city of Miami that we live in. I really focused on many of my favorite places for this sale and I wanted everyone who may not have had a chance to discover them before or meant to at some time, to really take advantage of the incredible specials we put together for them all while experiencing what I consider the best of fashion, food, fabulous and fun. These are some of the best. Many of them are known in other major cities, yet Miami has so much to offer and I wanted to share that with everyone. They are the best of restaurants, boutiques, spas, salons and experiences… all of which I have tried and tested and many of them for years and years.
What do you hope to achieve as an inaugural Gilt City Insider?
My only hope is to share what I love about this city with so many people who may or may not have experienced them before. We are all busy and sometimes we have had the intention to discover something new but as an Gilt Insider, I can help be sure you get a great offer as well as an incredible experience. It is my way of sharing the last 15 years of loving this city and watching it grow and knowing what is the best of the best.. And sharing it with all of our friends. After all, I love fashion, great food, fabulous finds and lots of fun so recommending my favorite spots with everyone is something I am proud and honored to do.
